That's why we're excited to introduce you to The Pineapple Effect, our Positive Impact Program. Since the start of 2023, we've been committed to donating 5% of our sales to a different charity each quarter, spreading love and support to those who need it most.
Why We Started The Pineapple Effect
Empowerment and community support are at the heart of Pretty Pineapple Bead. We wanted to create a program that reflects our values and allows us to contribute to meaningful causes. By giving a portion of our sales to various charities, we can help make a difference in the lives of others while doing what we love ā creating beautiful jewelry that makes you feel confident and unique.
How It Works
Every quarter, we select a different charity to support. Our customers play a vital role in this process by helping us choose the charities through social media polls and suggestions. This way, we can ensure that our contributions align with the causes that matter most to you.
Our Recent Charities
1. First Quarter: Children's MinnesotaĀ
In the first quarter of 2024, we supported Children's Minnesota, a charity dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare to children and supporting their families during challenging times. Children's Minnesota is one of the largest freestanding pediatric health systems in the United States, offering care through two hospitals, 12 primary and specialty care clinics, and six rehabilitation sites. 2. Second Quarter: Global Fund For Women
This quarter, weāre thrilled to support the Global Fund For Women, an organization that champions gender justice movements to create lasting change. They provide grants and support to grassroots groups worldwide, focusing on issues like sexual and gender-based violence, economic justice, and civic and political participation. The Pink Ribbon Project
In addition to our quarterly donations, we have a special collection called The Pink Ribbon Project. This collection is dedicated to supporting breast cancer research. We donate 75% of the sales from this collection to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
BCRF is the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the U.S., committed to ending breast cancer by funding critical research worldwide. Their efforts focus on advancing the worldās most promising research to improve treatment and find a cure. Learn more about their significant work at bcrf.org.
Last Year's Impact
Last year, thanks to your incredible support, we donated a total of $582 to various organizations. These included The Make-A-Wish Foundation, the National Forest Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, Mental Health America, and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
